Let’s dive into them!

Miakka Golf Club, Florida

Miakka Golf Club is a new golf course being built in Florida, in the large community of Myakka City, to the east of Sarasota

It is being designed by Dana Fry, Jason Straka, and the ex-pro golfer now turned TV golf-analyst Paul Azinger. There will be an 18 hole championship course as well as a 12-hole short course. Located on the Myakka River, it will open in early 2025.

The course will have a unique design inspired by world-famous Australian golf courses like Royal Melbourne and Kingston Heath. This means the design will feature wide fairways, very little rough, and deep bunkers.

The clubhouse will be as impressive as the course, being built in an “Old Florida” style. This vernacular architecture will be open and airy with large porches and possibly cupolas and sidings. There will also be a number of cottages on the property, in which members and guests will be able to stay.

Miakka is expected to be one of the best new golf courses in North America.
